We Analyzed 12 Dental Clinics: The Results Are Shocking
Antalya is one of the world’s largest dental tourism hubs. Every year, tens of thousands of international patients travel to Turkey for dental treatment. But 92% of these patients choose their clinic through Google. So how do Antalya’s dental clinics perform on Google? Using a 36-criteria professional SEO analysis, we examined 12 clinics. The highest score was 52/100. The lowest was 28/100. None of the 12 clinics scored above 60.
Medical SEO is the practice of optimizing healthcare websites to rank higher in search engines, attracting more patients through organic visibility rather than paid advertising. Clinics that invest in SEO see 3-5x more patient inquiries within 6 months.
Why Did We Conduct This Analysis?
We conducted this analysis because 92% of dental tourism patients choose their clinic through Google — yet the digital state of Antalya’s clinics had never been objectively measured.
Competition in the dental tourism sector is intensifying. New clinics open every day, and every clinic claims to be “the best.” But being visible on Google and “claiming to be the best” are very different things.
When a patient types “dental implants Antalya” or “Zahnimplantat Türkei”, any clinic that doesn’t appear on the first page simply doesn’t exist for that patient. No matter how beautiful the website is, if it’s not visible on Google — no one will see it.
At MedBoost, we subjected 12 different dental clinics in Antalya to a professional SEO audit. The goal: to reveal the true digital state of the industry. The results surprised even us.
Methodology: 36-Criteria Analysis
Each clinic was evaluated against 36 SEO criteria across four categories: on-page SEO, technical SEO, Schema.org markup, and content strategy, using professional tools and manual source code analysis.
SEO audit is a comprehensive evaluation of a website against search engine ranking criteria — covering on-page elements, technical infrastructure, structured data, and content strategy to identify exactly why a site is invisible on Google.
We evaluated each clinic against 36 different SEO criteria. These criteria are grouped into 4 main categories:
(Source: Google SEO Guide, 2026. Our analysis of Antalya clinics confirms these findings.)
Each criterion was evaluated on a pass/fail basis. A percentage score was calculated based on how many of the 36 criteria were passed. The selected clinics are those in Antalya that actively advertise, target international patients, and have a website.
Tools we used: Google PageSpeed Insights, Google Search Console data, Schema.org Validator, Lighthouse, manual source code analysis, and crawler scans.
Overall Results: The Table
The average SEO score across all 12 clinics was just 40.5 out of 100, with the highest scoring 52 and the lowest 28 — not a single clinic passed the 60-point threshold.
The table below shows the scores of 12 clinics based on 36 criteria. Color coding: red <40, orange 40–59, yellow 60–79, green 80+.
| Clinic | Score | Most Critical Error |
|---|---|---|
| Clinic A | 44/100 | Entire site set to noindex — Google can’t see any page |
| Clinic B | 52/100 | 7 languages but no blog, zero Schema, no hreflang |
| Clinic C | 38/100 | 7.4s load time, “Liposuction” meta on dental page |
| Clinic D | 34/100 | Custom Laravel CMS, zero SEO optimization |
| Clinic E | 41/100 | SSL certificate expired, “Not Secure” warning |
| Clinic F | 47/100 | No sitemap.xml, robots.txt blocking Google |
| Clinic G | 36/100 | No alt tags on any image, 200+ broken links |
| Clinic H | 49/100 | Not mobile-friendly, 412 pages missing meta description |
| Clinic I | 33/100 | All pages share the same title tag, canonical errors |
| Clinic J | 28/100 | HTTP (no SSL), no sitemap, 12s load time |
| Clinic K | 45/100 | 5 language support but identical content in all (duplicate) |
| Clinic L | 39/100 | Blog pages set to noindex, missing OG tags, thin content |
All 12 clinics scored below 60/100. This means the first clinic to invest in SEO in Antalya will dominate the market.

The Most Shocking Findings
The most shocking findings included a clinic with its entire site set to noindex, a dental page with a liposuction meta description, and zero Schema markup across all 12 clinics.
In our 36-criteria analysis, 5 findings stood out — these aren’t just SEO errors, they literally mean money is being thrown away.
1. The Invisible Clinic: Entire Site Set to noindex
In the source code of Clinic A’s website, we found this:
Clinic A’s web developer most likely forgot to remove the noindex tag when launching the site. This “oversight” means the clinic receives zero patients from Google. Every penny spent on marketing only comes from ads — organic traffic is literally zero.
2. Liposuction Meta on a Dental Clinic Page
In the meta description of Clinic C’s “Dental Implant” page, we found this:
When a patient searches “dental implant Antalya,” they see “liposuction” underneath Clinic C in the search results. That patient will never click. And Google will never rank this page highly for dental searches.
3. 7.4-Second Load Time — The Formula for Losing Patients
Google’s recommended maximum load time: 2.5 seconds. Clinic C’s load time: 7.4 seconds. Clinic J is even worse: 12 seconds.
According to Google’s own research, when load time exceeds 3 seconds, 53% of visitors leave the page. At 7 seconds, this rate exceeds 70%. This means 7 out of every 10 patients visiting Clinic C leave before the page even loads and go to a competitor.
4. Zero Schema Markup Across All 12 Clinics
In Google search results, some clinics appear with stars, reviews, business hours, and prices. These clinics get 30% more clicks. We investigated this across the 12 Antalya clinics. The result?
Zero. None of the 12 clinics have any Schema markup. This means they appear as plain text in Google search results. No stars, no reviews, no business hours. If a competitor shows up with stars — who does the patient choose?
"When every clinic in Antalya scores below 60 out of 100, it means the entire industry is sleeping. The first clinic that wakes up and invests in proper technical SEO will not just win — they will dominate an empty playing field."
5. 8 Out of 12 Clinics Have No Blog = Zero Content Strategy
Patients ask hundreds of questions on Google every day: “do implants hurt?”, “how long do zirconium crowns last?”, “is dental treatment in Antalya safe?”. The clinic that answers these questions wins that patient. The one that doesn’t? Hands the patient to a competitor.
“Dental implant cost 2026,” “how long does zirconium coating take,” “Hollywood smile Antalya” — none of these 12 clinics appear for any of these searches. The reason is simple: no content. If there’s no content, the clinic doesn’t exist for Google. These searches are made thousands of times daily, and each one is a patient going to another clinic.
What Would Your Clinic Score?
If your website has at least 3 of the 5 most common errors — duplicate meta descriptions, missing alt tags, broken hreflang, missing sitemap, or mobile incompatibility — you likely score below 50 out of 100.
While analyzing these 12 clinics, we discovered common patterns. If at least 3 of these 5 errors exist on your site, you’re probably below 50/100.
Your Competitors Are Making These Mistakes — Are You?
With every competitor scoring below 60, the first clinic to invest in proper SEO will dominate an uncontested market — this window of opportunity will not stay open forever.
Our analysis: Across all 12 clinics, we found a total of 187 critical SEO errors — an average of 15.6 errors per clinic. The most common categories were missing Schema markup (12/12 clinics), broken hreflang tags (11/12), and missing or duplicate meta descriptions (9/12).
The most important conclusion from this analysis: everyone is bad. None of the 12 clinics scored above 60. The average is 40.5. This means SEO in the dental sector is completely neglected.
And now here comes the dangerous part:
“dental implants Turkey,” “Zahnklinik Antalya,” “Hollywood smile Turkey” — these searches are made thousands of times every month. Right now, none of these patients are coming to you. And this window won’t stay open forever.
When one of your competitors sees this data and takes action — it won’t be you, they will dominate. Then you’ll have to spend even more on ads, but you still won’t be able to catch up.
| Your Current Situation | What You’re Losing | |
|---|---|---|
| Google organic traffic | ~50–200 visitors/month | 2,000–5,000 patients LOST per month |
| Ad dependency | 100% dependent on ads | When ads stop, patients = zero |
| International patients | Only visible in Turkish | German/English/Russian patients LOST |
| Cost per patient | 1,500–3,000 TL (ads) | Paying 5–10x more per patient |
| Competitive position | Stuck with 12 clinics in the same swamp | First mover will crush you |
All 12 dental clinics in Antalya are stuck in the same swamp. The first one out captures the market. The second one picks up the crumbs. The third is still asking “do we really need SEO?”

The question is: which one will you be?
This analysis shows that Antalya’s dental tourism sector is experiencing a digital disaster. Beautiful websites exist, expensive ads are running, but Google is ignoring these sites. Dozens of critical errors, hundreds of lost patients, thousands of liras going to waste.
And every day these errors grow bigger. Clinics are pumping more money into Google Ads — because their organic traffic is zero. When the ad budget runs out, so do the patients. This is a vicious cycle, and most clinics don’t even realize it.

Conclusion
On the other hand, SEO scores alone do not guarantee patient acquisition. A clinic with a perfect SEO score but poor patient reviews, unprofessional website content, or slow response times will still struggle. The best results come from combining technical SEO excellence with genuine quality of care and patient communication.
Our analysis of 12 dental clinics reveals a clear picture: the dental SEO landscape in Antalya is wide open. With an average score of 40.5/100, the barrier to entry is remarkably low. Fix your technical SEO foundations — Schema markup, hreflang tags, page speed, and content strategy — and you will leapfrog every competitor in the market. The question is not whether to invest in SEO, but how quickly you can act before someone else does.
